Loveland Products is closing out 2025 by bolstering its adjuvant portfolio with the release of Weather Gard Elite, as the crop input company prepares to launch nearly 20 products in 2026.
Weather Gard Elite is a water conditioner that offers five main modes of action, including conditioning water for herbicides, increasing deposition and penetration onto plants, and adjusting water droplet size for drift control, Drew Butler, manager of Loveland Products’ adjuvant portfolio, told AgTechNavigator. Additionally, the product comes with an anti-foaming agent, Butler added.
Similar to its other products, Loveland tested Weather Gard Elite in small plot trials and split-plot replications out in the field to prove the effectiveness of the product, Butler explained.
Loveland Product achieved 45% spray coverage, outperforming 42% for the product’s predecessors, per 2025 field trials in Renville, Minn., the company shared in a press release.
The release of Weather Gard Elite builds on two of its adjuvants, Weather Gard Complete and Strike Force, which were designed for glyphosates and d-traited crops, respectively, Butler explained. The new product addresses viscosity and packaging issues from the predecessors, he said.
“We created a singular formula that can work across all your major herbicide active ingredients. ... We had some struggles, especially with Weather Gard Complete, [as it was] highly viscous. So, it made it very difficult to get out of a tote or bulk storage because it was so thick. Strike Force was also thick but was much more manageable,” Butler elaborated.
He added, “This one is much less viscous than both of the previous products, so that it’s much easier to handle, and will be available in totes and for bulk storage, whereas the Strike Force was available in large quantity packaging, but the Weather Gard Complete was not.”
Loveland Products readies product launches in 2026
Loveland Products has a robust research and development pipeline for 2026, after releasing a suite of products in 2025, Butler noted. In September, Loveland Products launched a microbial-based input called Extract XC, which releases plant nutrients from crop residue for next year’s season, as AgTechNavigator previously reported.
Additionally, the ag input company achieved a milestone for its fertilizer biocatalyst Titan XC, which was used on 100 million acres in North America.
“Loveland Products is releasing probably close to 20 products — not just in adjuvants — throughout the next year, depending on regulations. So, we have a lot of stuff coming out,” Butler elaborated.
