Klim, the technology company behind an operating system for regenerative agriculture, has launched a new ‘digital companion’ tool designed to simplify and scale regenerative practices for UK farmers and food & beverage (F&B) companies. The platform offers personalised, field-level recommendations and consolidates data input into a single annual entry – removing the complexity and fragmentation that has long hindered adoption.
“Most services currently available to farmers are fragmented, focussing only on narrow phases like fertiliser optimisation,” said Rob Gerlach, Klim’s co-founder and CEO. “This wastes so much of a farmer’s time, and makes the process of transitioning to regenerative farming unnecessarily complex, difficult and expensive.”
Solving two key risks for F&B companies
As major F&B players like Nestlé, Danone and PepsiCo push regenerative agriculture across their supply chains, they face two major risks: weak data and lack of on-the-ground progress. Klim’s digital companion aims to address both by engaging farmers directly and providing robust, scalable reporting tools that align field-level activity with corporate sustainability goals.
“Bridging the knowledge and engagement gap between field data and corporate goals is essential,” Gerlach added. “Farmers are at the centre of this transition and need tools that work for them.”
From trial-and-error to tailored guidance
One standout feature is Klim’s Crop Mix Composer, which generates tailored crop plans based on farm goals and field conditions — including seed mix recommendations and nutritional targets. This eliminates the need for trial-and-error approaches and gives farmers confidence in their regenerative strategies.
The tool is already gaining traction in Germany and Poland, where 50% of farmers on Klim’s platform have adopted it since its initial rollout.
Next step: AI-powered support
Looking ahead, Klim plans to launch an AI-powered digital agent in Q1 2026 to provide farmers with real-time, personalised support on regenerative agriculture questions – further enhancing the platform’s usability and impact.
